Resource Analysis

Over the last five years, Forme has completed in depth wood supply studies across most wood supply regions in New Zealand. Forme has the ability to create bespoke wood availability forecasts over long study periods and large catchment areas. Our clients include Sea Ports, District and Regional Councils, Government departments, and Wood Processing facilities each wanting more in-depth strategic analysis on the wood resource in their region.

Reviews including multiple end users with complex forest structures and wood flows are our specialty.

Typical uses of our Wood Availability Forecasts include for strategic and tactical planning purposes, capital expansions, productivity improvements, due diligence reviews, investment memorandums and board reporting purposes.

Our reviews utilise new mapping data to age the tree crops and species of interest. We incorporate our own knowledge of prevalent harvesting practices, real world constraints, hands on market intelligence, applied tending regimes, competitive influences, with real supply and demand factors as well as we capture input from forest owners and managers forest if that is appropriate to the review and its willing participants.
