Sam Taylor

Graduate Forest Engineer, BE(Hons)

Sam graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Engineering – Forestry in 2021. Having grown up in Wellington Sam decided to work both of his summer internships at Forme before starting full-time in January 2022. Sam has joined the NZIF as a graduate member, as well as being a member of the Future Foresters NZ.

Since starting Sam has immersed himself in the Emissions Trading Scheme, having an impactful role in assisting with eligibility assessments, registrations, and carbon modelling. His analytical skills and attention to detail ensure a thorough and punctual job. Sam is looking forward to expanding his knowledge of forest valuations, harvest planning, and engineering solutions with Forme over the coming years.

Outside of the office or bush Sam is always at the pool, either training, playing, or refereeing Water Polo. He is also an avid skier.
